Carrista is a free automotive consulting website aiming to guide anyone looking to buy a new car or truck. The name took me a while and is a play on portuguese words such as “ciclista” – biker. This logo went through a fairly short creation process because I immediately figured a mix between a “vintage” approach and a more modern look would be a great fit for this client.

I had a blast designing this logo. After a fairly open briefing, the client’s take on “yin and yang” stuck with me. Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a component of traditional Chinese medicine, so I wanted this brand to reflect a very traditional look.

This pet service business approached me looking for a strong brand for their doggie daycare and pet boarding facility. It was going to be the first boarding in the city for both cats and dogs. So, two species… I wanted to honor the family’s italian heritage, so I decided to pair the italian word for “two” – “due” and “pet” for a more literal approach of the business segment and ease of understanding, since it was a new company.

Back in 2013, as a personal project, I decided to challenge myself to develop a logo a day, every day, for a month. Here’s a few I like the most.

(Hey, I was just a young designer back then. Besides, 4 out of 31 is not too bad, right? Right?)

All jokes aside, during the process, I was able to exercise the flexibility required by companies from different segments.
